At Mulberry Silverdale Primary, sustainability is a key priority as we look to the future. In line with the core values of the Mulberry Schools Trust—equity, excellence and empowerment—we are committed to embedding sustainable thinking into all aspects of school life, ensuring that our pupils are equipped to become responsible, informed and proactive global citizens.
We recognise our responsibility not only to educate, but also to lead by example. As part of our commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship, we have joined the Let’s Go Zero campaign, working alongside schools across the UK to become carbon zero by 2030. This reflects the Mulberry Schools Trust’s vision of empowering young people to make a positive difference in their communities and the wider world.
Sustainability at Mulberry Silverdale Primary is closely linked to our curriculum intent. Through rich, real-world learning experiences, pupils develop an understanding of environmental issues, alongside the critical thinking, resilience and collaboration skills needed to address them. This supports our aim to nurture compassionate, socially responsible individuals who are prepared for the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
